Antaira Announces Transition to New Sustainable Packaging
BREA, CA, JUNE 23, 2023 -- Antaira continues to make progress towards its ambitious sustainability goals by announcing today that it is transitioning to 100% molded-pulp packaging for its network devices and accessories sold throughout North America. The new eco-friendly packaging is made from post-consumer recycled paper and is biodegradable, compostable and recyclable. Along with being an environmentally viable alternative to traditional packaging materials, molded-pulp ensures equal protective qualities for Antaira products. Antaira expects the transition to begin by July 1, 2023.
Starting with recycled papers and corrugated boxes, molded pulp is formed into space-efficient, lightweight, and shock-absorbent packaging that protects products during shipping. According to a study by the Swedish Environmental Research Institute (IVL), using molded-pulp packaging has been shown to have a significantly lower carbon footprint than traditional polystyrene packaging, with up to 80% lower emissions.
"Antaira is committed to reducing its carbon footprint and contributing to a greener future by keeping our packaging materials in use and out of landfills," noted Carl Stelling, vice president of Antaira Technologies. "From the use of recycled materials in our packaging to the solar energy that helps power our operations, promoting environmental sustainability is core to Antaira's mission."
