Antaira Technologies partnered with a drone security company to help implement a 3D protective shield over a restricted airfield at an airport.
Special software was developed to create a blanket of protection over a specified area, which may only be implemented with pillars equipped with surveillance cameras, sensors, and Antaira's industrial Gigabit managed switch; the LMX-1002G-SFP-T.
These pillars send information back to a manned security office via fiber that operates security drones, which are deployed once foreign drones or objects are detected in the protected area.
These security drones act as robotic bouncers, capturing foreign drones that threaten the area's security, thus allowing staff to collect the flying intruder.
Luckily, the LMX-1002G-SFP-T has an extended operating temperature range of -40°C to 75°C and hardened IP30 capabilities, making it the perfect solution to operate in an outdoor airfield.
